My amazing speech wink wink lol

Hi there everyone today I'm going to be showing you my speech that I did a couple of weeks back. It was about how to play rugby but still not risk getting injuiryed. I love writing speech but when it comes to saying them in front of people is when I do not like them. But this time I was feeling really good and when I got up in front of everyone I think that I did very good on my speech and that is what I will be showing you today. Are you doing speeches and what is yours about and is it hard or easy to write a speech, but also maybe your like me and you found it hard to talk in front of a lot of people. There it is hope you enjoy, see you next time bye now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi my name is Liam and I am here is talk to you about how you can play rugby and still not risk being injured. Here we go, I hope you enjoy my speech.

Boompha! That sound is really all you hear sometimes when you are watching the rugby on the TV. But then also with that lots of players end up getting injuries and some of them can go up for weeks, months and also sometimes years. But there are some ways that can help you stay away from these injuries like sports tape, headgear and also shoulder pads . There are some ways that could help you stay away from injuries. But before we get too far into my speech I want to tell you why I am doing this speech and why I chose this topic.

First of all I play rugby and love it. I have been playing rugby for the last three years. I have always been thinking about how I can try to play hard and rough but still not be scared of getting injuries. Now back to how you can play but stay injury free.

  • In Canada they went and got 63 rugby player from club to high school, university ad also some players that even play for the canada rugby team. All of them wear headgear. 62% of them said that they think that the headgear/scrum cap helps with not getting concussion.  But the coaches do not think that it works. Some players that do not wear headgear when playing say that it they do not wear it because it is too uncomfortable and also because it costs too much to buy. But although most players in this study believe that rugby headgear doces help with preventing concussion all of the coaches do not think that it works.

Now that I have talked to you about headgear now I am going to tell you about something else that can really help rugby players. When it comes to injuries but this one can help you with bad leg or if you have had a sianded ankle or something like that. Also not just rugby players use his lots of other sports players use it as well as rugby players.  But most people use it to hold a bone or muscle in position. By doing this you will reduce pain and also acks in your body.

  • Sporting tape can help in lots of ways by helping your ankle and everything on your body from feet to shoulders. Some people wear it because they have a bad ankle or something like that. Also there are people that wear it because they get very bad shoulders or get bad hands from catching the ball.

  • Now I ́m going to to tell you about something called shoulder pads. Most rugby players use them because they can help you when you make contact with the takler. Atrox rugby say that their shoulder pads helps by taking down the contact in a tackle by 70% which to me is a lot. They also have all of the best shoulder pads ad the best ones is from the best rugby brand in the world gilbert which do lots of products in rugby.

Conclusion
In conclusion I hope that you think the same as me and say that there are lots of ways that you can stay away from getting injuries in rugby. As you can see the 3 big things are headgear and also sporting tape. But even though some people think that it does not work with concussion but still to me I do think that it works with stopping concussion, thank you for listening to my speech bye.
