Rugby history
The first rugby game was played in 1883 it was a school sport and it was played in England. It became a big part of school sports.
The first ever match in Scotland was in 1895 it between Edinburgh University and Edinburgh Academicals. They played in the Scotland which currently plays its fixtures in the Edinburgh Regional Shield competition.
the British Universities Premiership. It is one of the eight founder members of the Scottish Rugby Union.
In the years prior to the SRU's introduction of club leagues in 1973 and the advent of professionalism in the 1990s,
EURFC was a major club power and it won the 'unofficial' Scottish Club championship several times.
It remains a club with an all-student committee and is only open to students of the University of Edinburgh.

1905
In 1905 New Zealand made her own rugby team and they played the Walsh and they lost ad it was noted as the best game of the year.  

1887
For the first time ever all backs won the world cup ad they played France and they won the game 29-9 at Eden Park.    

2011
New Zealand known as the All Blacks won the world cup playing France and they won the play 8-7 at Ede park.
it is the same place that they best France in the 1987 world cup.

2015
For the first time ever a rugby team defended the Rugby World Cup that they had won four years before and the All Blacks did it they had kept all of the players that helped them win the rugby world cup. They had taken in some new players as well like nehe Milner shudder and lots more players.
